Dr Who Geplaatst: 21 maart 2008 Delen Geplaatst: 21 maart 2008 Weet iemand soms waar in Vlaanderen je een Vespa kunt laten testen op vermogen door een rollenbank? Alvast bedankt. Link naar reactie
Dr Who Geplaatst: 21 maart 2008 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 21 maart 2008 'k heb er al twee gevonden. Wim motors in Aalter, kost 35€ en Blondeel in Oostende. Nog iets dichter bij Antwerpen? Link naar reactie

belfastjohn Geplaatst: 23 maart 2008 Delen Geplaatst: 23 maart 2008 Wims in aalter will not do it, i already spoke with him, his dyno has been designed to test tuned Quad bikes, the inertia wheel will destroy your vespa's gearbox. There is a company in Goes in holland that make dynos for scooters, i forget their name though. Worb5 is not so far away and also scooter clinique in Koln? Link naar reactie

belfastjohn Geplaatst: 24 maart 2008 Delen Geplaatst: 24 maart 2008 http://www.tovami.com/ and let us know how you get on, i am very interested if Tovami will help with scooters. They are considered experts in their field. Link naar reactie
josse Geplaatst: 24 maart 2008 Delen Geplaatst: 24 maart 2008 Isn't the biggest problem that those test-banks are most suited for 4T and that there are few shops that know how to adjust/jet a 2T-scooter ? If you magage to get it to Worb5, they have all parts/jets etc in stock. Link naar reactie

Dr Who Geplaatst: 24 maart 2008 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 24 maart 2008 Bedankt John, Tovami doet idd scooters. Ik ben benieuwd wat dat geeft met mijn SIP, net zoals velen op het GSF. belfastjohn Geplaatst: 25 maart 2008 Delen Geplaatst: 25 maart 2008 Let us know here on this thread when you have spoken to Tovami, i am interested to have my RB22 motor tested at some point, Goes is very close to Gent. Link naar reactie
Dr Who Geplaatst: 26 maart 2008 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 26 maart 2008 I've called Tovami. Vespa's and Lamretta's are ok. A test run on the dyno with a printout cost 40€ (without setting up carb and stuff). You have to book in advance. Link naar reactie
belfastjohn Geplaatst: 26 maart 2008 Delen Geplaatst: 26 maart 2008 do they also do set up runs? Link naar reactie
Dr Who Geplaatst: 27 maart 2008 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 27 maart 2008 Yes, they claim they can set up virtually any engine. Price is 75€/hour. Greets, peter Link naar reactie
belfastjohn Geplaatst: 28 maart 2008 Delen Geplaatst: 28 maart 2008 so are you bringing your engine to Tovami? Link naar reactie
Dr Who Geplaatst: 28 maart 2008 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 28 maart 2008 When it's finised i'm gonna fit it in my Vespa and take the Vespa to Tovami for a run on the dyno. Normally there is no adjusting required as the engine is delivered already set up with my Sip exhaust. I want to check the hp and torque with the Sip exhaust. They promise 18,6hp and 22,4 nm with their own converted Sito T5 exhaust. http://www.pep-parts.com/shop/03c1989a1 ... 17684a.php I've ordered the least poweful engine because of reliability. They build engines up to 34hp. Link naar reactie
belfastjohn Geplaatst: 28 maart 2008 Delen Geplaatst: 28 maart 2008 18 is pretty normal for a plug and play (dremeled casings) malossi. But thats a lot of torque, could be a nice engine with the sito type pipe. Torque is the most important figure for scooters i find. Here is pocket rockets graphs showing before and after the crank had been flowed properly. Its rotary induction, with a PM pipe and 30pwk carb. Link naar reactie
Dr Who Geplaatst: 28 maart 2008 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 28 maart 2008 That's a nice graph. With the PM pipe te powerband shifts to higher revs. The PEP engine with Mikuni TMX 30 carb and T5 pipe has 20hp@6200Rpm and 24,6Nm@4800Rpm. Red graph is with Si24, bleu graph is with TMX 30. You can click the grazph to supersize. http://www.pep-parts.com/shop/images/ds1820ps.jpg Link naar reactie

Dr Who Geplaatst: 28 maart 2008 Auteur Delen Geplaatst: 28 maart 2008 Prior to ordering the PEP engine i've contacted Andy. He asked what stage of tuning i wanted and what my budget was. I replied him with my wishes for a rather conservative tuning and generous budget but never got an answer back. I figured he was too busy or left for the States so i contacted PEP. Link naar reactie
belfastjohn Geplaatst: 28 maart 2008 Delen Geplaatst: 28 maart 2008 He's busy. its taken a year for this engine to finally get there. he is good though! just wish it was my engine!!! Link naar reactie
