Men vertelde mij onlangs dat de vespa's die in Spanje gemaakt werden van minderwaardig staal zouden zijn dan pakweg éne van Italiaanse, Franse of Belgische makelij. Is daar iets van aan want ik voel mij natuurlijk aangesproken. Hoe kan je eigenlijk de oorsprong van de vespa bepalen? chassisnr.?

Could be true, but even Italian Vespas are made from recycled steel different years of manufacture get different quality depending on the price of steel at that time. I had a three year old Px200e once that was completely rusted through under the floor (bouwjaar 1990) and a 1978 px that had no rust at all.

Spanish lambrettas were normally made from better quality steel than the italian ones so i'm not sure i believe this story.

Spanish vespas are usually parts bin specials made from leftovers from the pontadera factory (PX frames, rally forks and handle bars anyone?) and the electric systems can be very confusing, usually made by FEMSA not ducati.
