Hallo iedereen,

Ik heb onlangs mijn eerste Vespa aangekocht na jaren met Honda Deauville gereden te hebben. Ik zal één van de dagen wel een fototje uploaden.

Nu vertelde de verkoper me dat om het oliepeil te kontroleren het staafje volledig moet ingedraaid worden. Klopt dit? Bij al mijn vorige motoren was het juist peilen zonder dat het mocht ingeschroeft worden. Ik kan het ook niet terugvinden in de gebruiksaanwijzing, enkel bij de naafolie staat het erbij dat ze volledig moet ingedraaid worden voor een juiste meting.

Quote uit Engelstalig Vespa service manual:

This operation must be carried out with the engine cold and following the procedure below:

Place the scooter on its centre stand and on flat ground. Undo cap/dipstick “A”, dry it off with a clean cloth and replace it, screwing down completely. Remove the cap/dipstick and check that the level is between the min and max. marks; top up if necessary. The MAX. level mark indicates a quantity of around 1300 cc of engine oil. If the check is carried out after the scooter has been used, and therefore with a hot engine, the level will be lower; in order to carry out a correct check it is necessary to wait at least 10 minutes after the engine has been stopped, so as to get the correct level.
