Carter rally vs P200

Wat een heerlijk willekeurige vraag.

Zoek de verschillen, kun je bij de eerste 2 nog iets bij voorstellen, maar hoe je erbij komt om een piston ported GS160 in je vraag mee te nemen, gaat m'n pet te boven :)

The rally200/p200 motors are almost identical, the P200 has a better ignition system (Ducati which some of the later Rally's got) and a better flyside bearing. Rally200's came w/ a higher compresion head then US market P200's, but not then the P200's for other markets.

Rally ignition timing is 24 degrees while p200 is 23 degrees, which would make rally's acceleration faster in lower gears but more prone to deto in higher gears, which means slower top speed; rally head has an offset cylinder head combustion chamber, while on p200s it is centralized (rally's design is an old attempt to keep combustion temperature lower by shifting the chamber away from the exhaust port, which is the hottest area of the cylinder, thereby reducing detonation); flywheel bearing, flywheel seal, stator plate and flywheel are different between the two models (additionaly, the stator on rally's is fixed and can't be rotated without ovalizing the holes). Otherwise all internals are identical, inlcuding the piston crank rod and even the clutch side half of the crank.
